Position Summary Brief statement summarizing the primary objective or purpose of the position. The HR Manager facilitates all Human Resources functions at the Jaffrey, NH location. HR Manager partners with designated department leaders by providing leadership and consulting support on matters of goal setting, policy development, and support in linking business and tactical strategies. The major areas of responsibility include organizational planning and development; employee recruitment and retention; performance management; employee relations and culture building; training and professional development; safety and health. Principal Responsibilities o Supports the strategic and operational needs of the OEM business unit and location. o Actively supports the creation of a positive work environment, reflective of high standards on ethics, compliance and the way we treat colleagues - ensuring fair treatment of all and addressing any issues of harassment, unfair treatment or discrimination. o Provides coaching and feedback to leaders on personal leadership and effectiveness, evaluation of department structures and team plans for continual improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of the group. o Monitors a comprehensive performance management process to include:
goal setting; performance appraisals; coaching and feedback; wage and salary structure; pay policies; and career development. o Manages processes to ensure cost-effectiveness, market competitiveness and internal equity among employees. o Manages and executes talent acquisition, orientation and retention program. Develops staffing strategies and implementation plans to identify talent within and outside the corporation for future positions. o Assists in development of appropriate policies and programs for management of business and conducts employee / leader training related to these policies and programs. o Monitors legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the business including OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage and Hour issues, etc. o Represents HR with Teleflex corporate office on various teams and projects. o Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation. o Monitors all immigration, unemployment, workers compensation and personnel legal cases. Consults with legal counsel as appropriate. o Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards. o Supervise, train and develop direct reports including; Human Resources Representative and Administrative Assistant/Front Desk. o Provide turnover, headcount reporting, analysis and performance metrics as required. o Coordinate with payroll, supervisors and FMLA/STD/LTD providers on documentation and return to work notifications. o All other duties as assigned. Education / Experience Requirements o Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field. o HR or Lean Six Sigman certifications preferred. o A minimum of 7 years experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role. o Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations and training. o Previous experience supporting a manufacturing facility and working with a diverse employee population. Experience working in medical device manufacturing preferred. Specialized Skills / Other Requirements o Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook o Strong understanding of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA and related state and federal regulations required o An excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflict between different parties o Strong consultative relationship building with leaders and employees o Ability to establish credibility and get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible o A decisive individual who possesses a results-oriented focus but can also balance the needs of the business with the needs of the individual o Results-oriented with a strong track record of success in delivery objectives o Resourceful and well organized with strong attention to detail and deadlines o Strong business process and customer focus o Demonstrated critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills o Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. o Proven leadership experience in a growing organization with demonstrated career progression. o Ability to respond to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
